A cocky rookie flyer joins the famous Hellcats Squadron, where a series of miscommunications and mistakes lead to problems with his fellow Navy pilots. The first Hollywood film glorifying the US military to be released after the outbreak of WWII, as a means of increasing public support of American defense preparations.

Blue titled wrappers, noted as TEMPORARY COMPLETE on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 36 and production No. 4610, dated 7-18-40. Title page integral to the front wrapper. 144 leaves, with last page of text numbered 144. Mimeographed, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Very Good plus, with minor edgewear, bound with two gold brads.
