The first of 3 sequels to Universal's "The Mummy's Hand" (1940), "The Mummy's Tomb" was followed by "The Mummy's Ghost" (1944) and "The Mummy's Curse" (1944). This was Lon Chaney Jr.'s first appearance as the mummy, a role he would reprise in the next two films in the series.
Andoheb (George Zucco), a high priest of Karnak, travels to America with living mummy, Kharis (Chaney), to kill those who desecrated Kharis' lover Ananka's tomb thirty years earlier.
