Based on the 1961 Broadway comedy. A conservative father's efforts to protect his rebellious hippie daughter as she heads to college frequently backfire, leading him into a variety of scandalous, radical situations. The fourth of five pictures director Henry Koster made with James Stewart, a collaboration which began with "Harvey" in 1950.

Blue titled wrappers, noted as SCREENPLAY on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped production No. 983, dated May 28, 1962. Title page present, dated August 8, 1962, noted as Revised Screenplay, with credits for screenwriter Nunnally Johnson and playwrights Phoebe and Henry Ephron. 167 leaves, with last page of text numbered 155. Mix of mimeograph and early Xerox on eye-rest green stock and blue revision stock, rectos only, with revision dates on every page, including some on blue stock, running from May 28, 1962 to July 9, 1962. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, with yapping, bound internally with three gold brads.
