Die Tigerin [The Tigress]

Berlin: Robert Van Ackeren Filmproduktion / Dieter Geissler Filmproduktion, Circa 1984. Draft script for the 1992 film. A very early version of the script, issued almost a decade before the film's release, with Robert van Ackeren as the intended director at the time. With a few holograph pencil and ink annotations throughout, mostly to the first twenty pages of text. Included with the screenplay is a letter introducing the script, addressed to Austrian actor Helmut Berger from Dieter Gissler Production Director Susi Dolfes. Text in German.

Based on the 1925 German novel. An erotic thriller set in pre-WWII Berlin, wherein an expatriate grifter and a beautiful hustler fall in love and decide to rob a vacationing Texan millionaire in order to start a new life together in Czechoslovakia.

Set and shot on location in Berlin.

Clear plastic wrapper. Title page present, with credits for screenwriters Robert van Ackeren and Catharina Zwerenz, and novelist Walter Serner. 101 leaves, with last page of text numbered 97.
