Based on the 1968 novel "Welcome to Xanadu" by Nathaniel Benchley. A fugitive mental patient kidnaps an underage farm girl and brings her to a cabin in the mountains, where she develops Stockholm Syndrome. A television movie from the final years of the short-lived Brut Productions, a film production company formed by cosmetics brand Fabergé when sales of its perfume Xanadu skyrocketed following its appearance in a mock advertisement in Jack Haley Jr.'s "The Love Machine" (1971).

Set in the American West. Shot on location in Taos, New Mexico.
