With a few small manuscript pencil annotations, mostly regarding a character's name change and changes to pagination. Laid in with the script is a handwritten letter discussing films with KO-Productions. Text in German. Missing page 59, likely as used or issued.

Based on the 1980 novel. In 1983, a middle-aged man returns to his hometown village with his teenage son in an attempt to discover the details of his mother's affair with a Polish prisoner of war during World War II.

Set in Brombach, shot on location in Baden-Wurttemberg and Berlin.
