A Technicolor musical fantasy about a boy (Rettig) who dreams he is a world ruled by a diabolical piano teacher, Dr. Terwilliker (Hans Conried), forever enslaving children and forcing them to play a piano so immense, it takes 500 children to play it.

Nominated for one Academy Award.
