N.p. N.p., Circa 1937. Vintage press portrait photograph of child actress Joan Carroll to publicize the 1937 film "One Mile From Heaven", which was Carroll's first credited film appearance.

Carroll began her stage career at age four, appearing in several supporting film roles in 1937. She had a breakthrough appearance in "Primrose Path" in 1940 as Ginger Rogers' younger sister, and was cast alongside Ruth Warrick in "Obliging Young Lady" (1941) and "Petticoat Larceny" (1943). She retired in 1945, at 14.
