When bellhop Ward Guisenberry (Wayne Morris) knocks out heavyweight champion Chuck McGraw (William Haade), promoter Nick Donati (Edward G. Robinson) knows he's got a champ. Problems arise when Nick's mistress "Fluff" (Betty David) falls for Ward, and Ward in turn is falling for Nick's young sister Marie (Jane Bryan).
