Paul Mazursky followed his acclaimed film "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" (1969) with this sharp romantic comedy about Stephen Blume (George Segal) who, after cheating on his wife Nina (Susan Anspach), realizes he cannot live without her. Nina, naturally, has already dumped him and what follows is a poignant and comedic film about the complexity of modern marriage.

Shot on location in Venice, Italy and California.
