World renowned baritone Lawrence Tibbett stars as Anthony Allen, New York opera star, who, tired of his rigorous schedule, retreats to his secluded cabin in the Sierra Madres, and is pursued by the Chicago socialite Cynthia Drexel, played by Wendy Barrie, intent on him fulfilling his contract and performing at her party.
