Ten Days Wonder [La decade prodigieuse]

Paris: Les Films la Boetie, Circa 1971. Draft script for the 1971 French film noir, belonging to Assistant Sound Engineer Gerard Dacquay. Annotations on title page of Dacquay's name in holograph red marker and four lead actors with characters' names in holograph black marker. Text in French.

Based on the 1948 novel by Ellery Queen (Frederic Dannay and Manfred Lee). The young sculptor Charles Van Horn (Anthony Perkins) wakes up in a strange bed, covered in blood, with no memory of the previous night's events. He calls his old professor, Paul Regis (Michel Piccoli), to accompany him to his adoptive father's (Orson Welles) strange, insular, Gatsby-like estate and tries to unravel the mystery.

Shot on location in Haut-Rhin and Paris.

Front wrapper missing. Title page present, with credits for author Ellery Queen, screenwriters Claude Chabrol and Paul Gegauff, and director Claude Charbrol. 208 leaves, with last page of text numbered 207. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only.
