Culver City, CA: Columbia Pictures, 1979. Archive of ten double weight photographs from the 1980 film by special photographer Alan Pappe. Four photographs feature actress Brooke Shields, four feature Christopher Atkins, and two show photographer Pappe posing with extras dressed as native islanders on the set of the film.

With Pappe's photographer's stamp and manuscript annotations, including the date of 1979, on the verso of each photograph. Three photographs additionally signed by Pappe on the verso, and four photographs with his manuscript ink annotations to the bottom margins on the recto.

Pappe worked as a film still and press photographer for 30 years, photographing a who's who of film and music stars, including iconic images of Sharon Tate, Jimi Hendrix, and Liza Minnelli, as well as album cover for the "Grease" soundtrack album, and the interior images of Jefferson Airplane's "After Bathing at Baxter's." His 1972 "Time" magazine cover photograph of Minnelli in "Cabaret" is part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery.

Based on the 1908 novel by Henry De Vere Stackpoole, about two children who are shipwrecked on a tropical island, and survive there, growing into young adults. Filmed twice previously, in 1923, directed by W. Bowden and Dick Cruickshanks, and starring Cruickshanks and Molly Adair, and in 1949, directed by Frank Launder, and starring Jean Simmons and Donald Houston.
