Based on O. Henry's 1907 short story "The Caballero's Way". The Cisco Kid and his loyal pal Gordito track down a gang of outlaws committing crimes under the Kid's name. The seventh film in Twentieth Century-Fox's Cisco Kid series, and the second film to feature Cesar Romero as the Kid, following "The Cisco Kid and the Lady" (1939). Romero was the first Latino actor to portray the canonically Mexican desperado, replacing Warner Baxter.
Set in New Mexico.
