A young explorer is attacked by a tiger on a safari in Malaysia, and is rescued by a young native woman. Romance blossoms between the two, to the displeasure of the explorer's fiancee and family. A breakthrough role for Lamour, who was subsequently cast in several similar jungle adventure films throughout the late 1930s and 1940s, earning her the playful nickname "Sarong Queen."
