With the stamp of United Press International on the verso, along with a printed mimeo snipe dated 12/19/63, noting Burton's recent divorce from his first wife and quoting the judge during the proceedings, who stated "Miss Taylor's husband, singer Eddie Fisher, is scheduled to arrive [here] in the next few days."

Burton and Taylor's highly public extramarital affair during the 1962 filming of "Cleopatra" was the source of much media speculation, and is now considered by many to have been a turning point in Hollywood tabloid journalism, paving the way for a decline in privacy for the lives of celebrities.
