Two-Faced Woman
N.p. N.p., Circa 1941. Vintage oversize double weight reference photograph of Greta Garbo and director George Cukor on the set of the 1941 film. Mimeo snipe on verso.
A woman poses as her fictitious twin sister in an attempt to woo her husband and win him back. An early attempt by MGM to recast Garbo as a glamorous, modern woman, an "Americanization" tactic which the actress regarded as futile and proved ultimately disastrous: the film became a legendary box-office bomb, and Garbo received some of the worst reviews of her career.
13 x 10 inches. Very Good plus with creasing to the corners and edgewear.
