Vintage borderless double weight reference photograph of director François Truffaut and actors Catherine Deneuve (then Truffaut's wife) and Jean-Paul Belmondo on location for the 1969 French neo-noir film. With the stamp of Cahiers du Cinema on the verso, along with holograph pencil and ink annotations.

Based on Cornell Woolrich's 1947 novel "Waltz into Darkness." A wealthy plantation owner on an island in the Indian Ocean anticipates the arrival of his bride-to-be, but is surprised to discover the woman who arrives from France bears no resemblance to the woman in the photograph.

Set on Reunion Island and Nice, France.
