N.p. N.p., Circa 1992. Draft script for the 1992 film, photocopied for internal distribution.

From the collection of novelist William Hjortsberg, who worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood between 1977-1985. Hjortsberg is best known for the film adaptation of "Angel Heart" (1987), based on his 1978 novel.

A troubled police detective investigating a violent murder begins a relationship with the lead suspect, a beautiful, manipulative novelist. A torrid thriller that faced controversy upon release for its graphic sexual content and questionable depiction of bisexuality, the film nevertheless came to define the neo-noir revival of the 1990s.

Set and shot on location in San Francisco.
