A loose biography of Evel Knievel, noted motorcycle daredevil, told through flashbacks of his youth in Butte, Montana, his marriage to his girlfriend Linda, and his rise to fame and fortune throughout the 1960s. The first film portrayal of Knievel's life, followed by "Viva Knievel!" in 1977, which starred Knievel as himself, and "Evel Knievel" in 2004.

Set and shot on location in Butte, Montana, the Ontario Motor Speedway in California, and Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona.
