American soldier of fortune, Jim Carmody, crashes his plane in a remote region in China and becomes an aid to vicious warlord General Yang. After witnessing the brutal murder of a priest, Carmody adopts the priest's identity and reaches the missionary hospital where he falls for nurse Anne Scott, and attempts to save the endangered mission.

Shot on location in Hong Kong and Malibu, California.
