Newely would win a Grammy Award in 1962 as co-writer of "What Kind of Fool" from the musical "Stop The World - I Want to Get Off," and later recorded by Sammy Davis Jr. He would also co-write "Feeling Good" (1964), from the musical "The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd," which Nina Simone would turn into a standard, and the iconic title song to the James Bond film "Goldfinger" (1964).
