Los Angeles' annual festival, "La Fiesta de las Flores," was extended for a week in honor of the sesquicentennial of the founding of the city, and included parades, a rodeo, a Spanish barbecue, a carnival, an air show, and more. The film industry, especially desirous to contribute, created a special "electrical parade" and hosted festivities at the Coliseum on the final night of the spectacular. Harold Lloyd presided as grand marshal over the night's honors, attended and presented by a virtual cavalcade of contemporary stars riding on elegant floats and automobiles, including Fairbanks and Zanuck, who performed in short sports displays. The event was broadcast live on the radio,
10 x 8 inches. Very Good, with chipping at the corners and the top margin.
