N.p. N.p., 1936. Vintage publicity portrait photograph of actress Blanche Yurka from the 1936 off-Broadway play, which opened at El Capitan Theatre on August 30, 1936. With the blind stamp of still photographer John Alfred Piver on the bottom left corner, and the stamp of Examiner Reference Library dated OCT 15 1936 on the verso, along with holograph ink and pencil annotations.
A comedy following an aging matriarch who decides she will pick an appropriate suitor for her beloved granddaughter. The play premiered at the King's Theatre in Edinburgh in 1933, and later moved to the Apollo Theatre in London, where it ran for 102 performances.
