Terror [Perils of Paris]
New York: Theatre Owners Distributing, 1924. Vintage studio still photograph from the 1924 French silent film, seen here under its US title "Perils of Paris," showing actress Pearl White in riding garb, perched on a railing.
White's last film, ending a two-decade career in films. During her Hollywood heyday, the actress appeared as the plucky heroine in a number of popular serials, most notably the Pathe production "The Perils of Pauline" in 1914. Unlike many of her contemporaries, White performed most of her own stunts, including flying airplanes, racing cars, long-distance swims, and similar feats.
8 x 10 inches. Very Good, lightly toned overall.
