Iowa-born actress Thompson was a prominent figure in the silent film era, but was soon pushed back into stage acting and radio dramas with the advent of sound film. She was best known for her appearances in "Some Pun'kins" (1925), "April Fool" (1926), and "Husband Hunters" (1927).
