N.p. N.p., Circa 1972. Two vintage borderless reference photographs, one of Donovan in the titular lead, and one of John Hurt, Jacques Demy, and Donald Pleasance on the set of the 1972 film. One with mimeo snipe and provenance stamp of film scholar and author "Jean-Pierre Berthome" on verso, one with remainder of mimeo snipe, since removed, on verso, and cropping annotations in manuscript pencil and wax pencil on both recto and verso.

Loosely based on the mediaeval German legend.

As the Black Death is reaching northern Germany, a troupe of traveling minstrels are arriving for the Mayor's daughter's wedding. When a mysterious flutist offers to rid the town of rats for a fee, the Mayor agrees, only to renege after the rats have gone, the flutist exacts a horrible revenge.

Set in 14th century Hamelin, Germany.

6.75 x 10 inches, and 7 x 10 inches. One Near Fine with light rippling, One Very Good plus with rippling and cropping annotations in manuscript wax pencil.
