Los Angeles: ABC Pictures, 1971. Vintage borderless satin-finish reference photograph from the set of the 1971 film, showing director Sam Peckinpah and actor Jim Norton. With two printed mimeo snipes affixed to the verso.
Based on the 1969 novel "The Siege of Trencher's Farm" by Gordon Williams. An American man returns to his wife's hometown in England, only to run afoul of the locals with increasingly violent consequences. Controversial in its depiction of physical and sexual violence, even within Peckinpah's often controversial filmography, it is also frequently considered one of his best.
Set and shot on location in Cornwall, England.
