Two photographs feature Kaufman alone, and one photograph shows Kaufman joined onstage by longtime friend Bob Zmuda in costume as "Tony Clifton," a lounge singer character created by Kaufman. Two photographs with the stamp of photographer Shirley Borchardt on the verso.

Kaufman's unorthodox, absurdist blend of performance art and stand-up comedy gained him wild popularity and, after his death of lung cancer at 35, a succession of imitators.
