A classic of French cinema, with every word of dialogue sung in recitative. The first French film musical shot in color, and the movie that made Catherine Deneuve a star.

Winner of the Palme d'Or and two other prizes at the 1964 Cannes Film Festival, and nominated for five Academy Awards
