New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1934. First Edition, in a lightly restored dust jacket. There are four jacket variants, of no established priority, this being red and with "Book of the Month" blurb on the front panel. Three advance reviews from other authors on the front flap. Basis for the 1934 film, and the characters that would populate five delightful sequels between 1939-1947.
Very Good plus in a Near Fine dust jacket. Book has a bit of the usual fading to the boards (found on virtually every copy one encounters), and a faint diagonal crease to the front endpaper. Topstain is bright, unfaded, and clean. Jacket has some restoration to the edges, and notably has none of the usual fading to the red on the spine. An attractive copy.
