See No Evil [Dark of the Day] [Buff]

London: Genesis, 1970. Archive of two draft scripts for the 1971 film, one undated and under the working title "Buff," the other noted as a second draft, under the working title "Dark of the Day." Second draft script belonging to sound mixer Bob Allen, with his name on the front wrapper and his manuscript ink and pencil annotations throughout.

A recently blinded woman visits her aunt and uncle's country mansion to recuperate, and is stalked by a mysterious killer.

Shot on location in Berkshire, England.

Black untitled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, undated, with credits for screenwriter Brian Clemens, noted as copy No. 8 in manuscript ink annotation to the top right corner. 96 leaves, with last page of text numbered 95. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound internally with two silver brads.

Second Draft script:

Goldenrod untitled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, dated October 1970, with credits for screenwriter Brian Clemens, noted as copy No. 40 in manuscript ink annotation to the top right corner. 116 leaves, with last page of text numbered 122. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue and pink revision pages throughout, dated variously between 9th December 1970 and 23.10.70. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, with light rusting near the binding, bound internally with two gold brads.
