Collection of five original photographs of African American schoolchildren in Baltimore, 1945-1967

Baltimore: N.p., 1945-1967. Collection of five vintage black and white photographs of African American schoolchildren in Baltimore, including three matte-finish and two glossy, dated variously between 1945 and 1967. One photograph mounted on stiff cardboard, with faint manuscript pencil annotations to the top left corner, noting the names of students in the shot.

Included in the collection is one photograph dated May 20, 1945, noted as the class portrait for St. Cyprian's First Communion Class, with the insignia of Capitol Photo Service to the bottom right corner. Also included are two class portraits credited to Claiborne photography studio, one dated 1949, the other dated 1967.

The two remaining photographs in the set show children during class performances—one capturing a girls' dance recital, the other showing a group of children onstage, apparently during a birthday party scene, with many children in whimsical costumes.

Photographs approximately 10 x 8 inches. Generally Very Good plus to Very Good, with light creasing, edgewear, and toning overall.
