Based on Nora Johnson's first novel from 1956. Nora Johnson's only screenwriting credit, which she shared with her father, screenwriter, director, and playwright, Nunnally Johnson. Peter Sellers stars as Henry Orient, an egocentric avant-garde pianist who is pursued around New York City by two fourteen-year old fans, ruining his planned liaison, afraid they may be spies sent by his mistress's husband. Nominated for the Palme d'Or.
