A triumph of design, practical effects, and cinematography, and one of the most beloved pre-Code films of all time. Wray previously worked with directors Merian Cooper and Ernes B. Schoedsack in "The Four Feathers" (1929), and won the lead in "King Kong" over Dorothy Jordan, Jean Harlow, and Ginger Rogers.

Set on Skull Island and in New York City.
