London: Secker and Warburg, 1934. First UK Edition. An attractive copy of one of the rarest film noir source titles, basis for the 1948 film noir "An Act of Murder," starring Fredric March and Edmond O'Brien. Excessively rare.

Very Good plus in a bright, Very Good plus dust jacket. Contemporary owner name (dated 1939), slightest lean, light foxing to page edges. Jacket very lightly toned at the spine, with light soil on the rear panel, and a couple of tiny nicks at the extremities.
