Basis for the 1953 breakthrough masterpiece by Henri-Georges Clouzot, as well as the 1958 remake "Violent Road," directed by Howard W. Koch, and the 1977 remake "Sorcerer," directed by William Friedkin.

First French Edition:

About Near Fine, with faint foxing on the page block, in a Very Good plus or better example of the publisher's original tissue paper dust jacket.

First UK Edition:

Boards slightly warped, else about Fine in a bright, Near Fine dust jacket. Jacket has a small nick at the top of the rear flap fold, and a short closed tear on the bottom edge of the rear panel.
