Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

A landmark of New Hollywood cinema, and arguably the high spot (as well as the beginning) of an incredible streak of inventive cinematic achievements directed by George Roy Hill in the 1960s and 1970s that included "Slaughterhouse-Five" (1972), "The Sting" (1973), and "Slap Shot" (1977).

Loosely based on fact, Butch Cassidy (Newman) and his partner, the Sundance Kid (Redford), are on the run from a US posse after a string of train robberies. They flee to Bolivia in search of a a better way to be thieves, but ultimately meet their doom.

Tan card wrappers with titles in gold foil. Title page present, dated July 15, 1968, noted as FINAL, with a credit for screenwriter Goldman. 185 leaves, with last page of text numbered 186. Mechanical duplication on eye-rest green stock, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 11/4/68 and 11/20/68. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound internally with two gold brads.
