INSCRIBED on the front endpaper by the author: "For Ed Pariss / a fellow trout maddie / with the best wishes of the author / Robert Traver / (John Voelker)." Original mailing envelope laid in with the book, with an autograph letter signed from Voelker to Pariss, dated 1973, declining an invitation to visit.

In addition to a number of volumes on the topic of fly fishing, John Voelker, better known by his pen name Robert Traver, was the author of the 1958 novel "Anatomy of a Murder," basis for the 1959 film directed by Otto Preminger and starring James Stewart.

Near Fine in an about Near Fine dust jacket. Book has a piece of old cello tape on the bottom edge of the front board. Jacket has four pieces of old cello tape on the flap edges, likely from jacket having been adhered to the boards. Nevertheless, a fresh copy.
