Basis for the 1943 film "A Scream in the Dark," although the film was released before the novel's publication the following year.

Very Good plus in a Very Good plus dust jacket. Spine lightly toned. Jacket has a couple of small bruises on the front panel fore-edge, with moderate rubbing along the spine panel, and small chips at the corners.
