Triangle Books were a reprint publisher, which published nearly 400 titles of hardbound, inexpensive editions of popular fiction between 1933 and 1949. First published in 1933 by Reynal and Hitchcock, they were acquired by Doubleday in 1939, which continued the series until 1949. The 39¢ sale price seen on the standee presented here, was the price point beginning in 1939, which continued until approximately 1943 when the price point was raised to 49¢.
