Based on the 1922 novel by Rafael Sabatini—the first talkie adaptation of one of his works. A young Irish doctor is exiled to Jamaica after rebelling against King James II, later becoming one of the most feared pirates in the Caribbean.

Shot on location in Corona, Laguna Beach, and Palm Canyon, California.
