Niblo served as the master of ceremonies for the event. The Beverly Wilshire would be completed in 1928, initially opening under the name "The Beverly Wilshire Apartment Hotel." The hotel would be renamed after a change in ownership in the 1940s, changing hands five more times throughout the ensuing decades. It continues to operate today.
