Culver City, CA: Selznick International, 1939. Two vintage photographs of Indian actor Sabu Dastagir (commonly known only by his given name, Sabu) talking with British director John Cromwell on the set of Cromwell's 1939 film "Made for Each Other." Sabu, who at that time was living in London, was visiting Selznick International studios in Hollywood. Printed mimeo snipes affixed to the versos of both photographs.

Sabu's breakthrough performance in the 1937 British film "Elephant Boy" gained him an exclusive contract with film mogul Alexander Korda, resulting in starring roles in "The Thief of Bagdad" (1940), "Arabian Nights" (1942), and "The Jungle Book" (1942).
