A 1948 Sack Amusement Enterprises "race film," featuring an all black cast, which reused footage from the 1946 film "Mistaken Identity." Told through a series of flashbacks, a musician is murdered by a thrown knife while performing at a club, and a reporter, an escaped convict, and the beautiful singer Nellie Hill are all suspects. Featuring outstanding musical interludes from Nobel Sissle and his Orchestra, singer Bob Howard, saxophonist Skippy Williams, and singer Hill.

28 x 40.75 inches. Linen backed and rolled. Very Good plus with some professional restoration and repair at the original folds and a small 1.5 inch crack to the lower right edge.
