Based on Evelyn Waugh's debut novel "Decline and Fall" (1928). A man is unjustly dismissed from Oxford University for indecent behavior, and finds employment at a boys' private school in Wales, where he meets a young woman. The two are set to married until he is arrested for involvement in her white slavery operation.

Set and shot on location in Hertfordshire, and London, England.
