A arts polymath, Geoffrey Holder was a dancer, choreographer, actor, composer, musician, designer, and painter. He made his Broadway debut in 1954 in the Truman Capote musical "House of Flowers," and was the principal dancer for the Metropolitan Opera in 1955-1956. Holder began his film career in 1957, and his best known as the villainous Voodoo henchman Baron Samedi in the 1973 James Bond film "Live and Let Die," directed by Guy Hamilton, and starring Roger Moore.
