Beverly Hills, CA: United Artists, 1977. Revised Draft script for the 1978 film. Annotation in manuscript ink on the front wrapper and the title page, striking the definite article from the title. Accompanied by an 83 page post-production music cues packet, dated May 15, 1978.

Based on the 1956 horror classic directed by Don Siegel, in turn based on the 1955 novel by Jack Finney. A cult classic about a biologist who stumbles upon an alien plot to change humans into hosts for intergalactic plants. Winner of two Saturn Awards and nominated for another four.

Set in San Francisco, and shot there on location.

Yellow titled wrappers. Title page present, dated October 22, 1977, noted as REVISED DRAFT, with credits for screenwriter W.D. Richter, novelist Jack Finney, producer Robert Solo, and director Phil Kaufman. 146 leaves, with last page of text numbered 128. Mimeograph duplication, with blue xerographically duplicated revision pages throughout, dated 10/25/77. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.
