N.p. N.p., Circa 1982. Draft script for the 1982 film. Laid in with the script is a Typed Letter Signed from publicist Kevin McShane to publisher Otto Penzler, dated May 15, 1981, and introducing the script.

Based on Mickey Spillane's classic 1947 novel. Although the film initially received mixed reviews, it is now considered by many Spillane fans to be the definitive adaptation of the author's work, largely attributed to Armand Assante's hard boiled, violent portrayal of detective Mike Hammer.
