An outrageously absurd revisionist Western, about an eccentric Irish-American "regulator" who is hired to hunt down a gang of horse thieves. Largely derided at the time of its release, the film has since been reevaluated as one of the more fascinating Westerns of the 1970s.

Shot on location in Nevada City, Harrison, and Billings, Montana.


Lacking front wrapper, with black rear wrapper. Title page present, dated June 20, 1975, with credit for novelist and screenwriter Thomas McGuane. 126 leaves, with last page of text numbered 100. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with rainbow revision pages throughout, dated variously between 6/24/75 and 8/25/75. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good, bound with three gold brads.
